Por primera vez, la categoría a 'Artista del Año' está conformada por mujeres

MTV ha emocionado a los fanáticos de la música al anunciar la próxima realización de los Video Music Awards (VMA) de 2023, para reconocer y premiar el talento y el arduo trabajo realizado por diversos artistas a lo largo del año.

La edición de este año se transmitirá el 12 de setiembre en Prudential Center de Nueva Jersey a las 8 p.m. (Hora de Estados Unidos) y para esta edición son las mujeres quienes están liderando las listas, especialmente se destaca a Taylor Swift con sus ocho nominaciones. Sin embargo, este año marca un hito en los premios VMAs, ya que por primera vez desde la introducción de la categoría ‘Artista del Año’ en 2017, todas las nominadas son mujeres. Beyoncé, Doja Cat, Karol G, Nicki Minaj, Shakira y Taylor Swift han sido reconocidas por su talento y su impacto en la industria musical. Además, es la primera vez que dos artistas provenientes del mundo de la música latina son nominadas en esta categoría.

Además de su nominación para Artista del Año, Taylor ha recibido un total de siete nominaciones por su hit ‘Anti-Hero’. Estas nominaciones incluyen categorías tan destacadas como Video del Año, Canción del Año, Mejor Pop, Mejor Dirección, Mejor Cinematografía, Mejores Efectos Visuales y Mejor Edición. En las nominaciones le siguen SZA (seis); Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo y Sam Smith (cinco); y BLACKPINK, Diddy y Shakira (cuatro).

Por otro lado, también es destacable la nominación de Peso Pluma a ‘Mejor artista nuevo’, reconociendo su debut prometedor y su potencial en la industria musical. Esta es la lista completa de nominados a los MTV Video Music Awards 2023:
