Edalitza, an Arubian with Venezuelan parents is 27 years old. Currently she is in charge of management and the operational efficiency of Renaissance Mall, the most important shopping center on the island.
She is the marketing manager and public relations agent in one of the most luxurious Caribbean malls with more than 60 international brands. She is not an office person. Her presence is felt daily throughout the hallways, where she is adamant that everything is running in order.
“What I enjoy the most in my life is work. Every day is different, I’m always organizing campaigns and events”. It’s her first job position, therefore, each step is a challenge. «My workday is busy. I have meetings with the brand reps, work on budgets, organize events, and prepare management reports”.
She is young and successful. Five years ago she came back from Holland after getting her degree in International Business at the University of Maastricht. She is charismatic and defines herself as a trustworthy and loyal woman. “I am a perfectionist. I always try for things to turn out my way, as well as being a workaholic. I work between eight and eleven hours a day”.
She never dreamed about being part of such an important family as the Renaissance, which has two hotels. Most people agree on the idea that Renaissance Mall is the meeting point for visitors of the island. But she always knew she would be a professional, and to command an important position in her native country.
She lives in one of the most charming Caribbean places. One of her obsessions is to be mindful of every cent she makes, so she does not spend it on handbags from the big brands paraded all over the island. She loves the sea and enjoys her free time with her family, spoiling her nephew, and going to lunch with her sister.
She is known for having a big heart. She is catholic and loves helping people in need. For years she has been helping the Kiwanis Club of Aruba, an organization that for 50 years has served the community by promoting education for special needs children and children with limited resources.
Every wednesday and on weekends she volunteers at nursing homes. «I feel immense satisfaction in helping with noble causes and to be able to help people who need it the most».
She agrees that her mother has been her inspiration not only with getting involved with good causes, but also with the success in her career. “I believe in my mother. She was my guide, my inspiration, who taught me about values, the importance of an education, to have a career, and always staying humble and helping others”.
Edalitza dreams with starting a family, and to continue being an example of success for the coming generations in Aruba.

Edalitza Weller, ejemplo de excelencia y juventud

Edalitza Weller es una arubiana de padres venezolanos, tiene 27 años y hoy es quien se encarga de la gestión y el buen funcionamiento del Renaissance Mall, el centro comercial más importante de la isla.
Es la gerente de mercadeo y relacionista público de uno de los malls más lujosos del caribe que cuenta con más de 60 marcas internacionales. No es una mujer de oficina, su presencia se siente a diario en los pasillos, verifica insistentemente que todo marche en orden.
“Lo que más disfruto en mi vida es el trabajo, todos los días son diferentes, siempre organizo campañas y eventos”. Es su primer cargo y por eso cada paso representa un reto. “Mi día es agitado, tengo reuniones con las marcas, hago presupuestos, plan de eventos e informes de gestión”.
Es joven y exitosa, hace cinco años llegó de Holanda, luego de cursar sus estudios en la Universidad de Maastricht, donde se especializó en negocios internacionales. Es carismática y se define como una mujer honesta y leal. “Soy perfeccionista, siempre trato de que todo salga como yo quiero y además soy workaholic, trabajo entre ocho y 11 horas diarias”.
Nunca soñó con formar parte de tan importante familia como lo es Renaissance, que además cuenta con dos hoteles. Todos coinciden en la idea de ser el punto de encuentro entre los temporadistas que visitan la isla. Pero siempre imaginó ser una profesional y ejercer un cargo importante en su país natal.
La joven vive en uno de los mayores encantos del caribe, una de sus manías es cuidar cada centavo de su dinero para no dejarlo en las bolsas de las grandes marcas que desfilan en la isla. Ama el mar y disfruta también del tiempo libre con su familia, consentir a su sobrino y almorzar con su hermana.
Es reconocida por tener un corazón enorme, es católica y uno de sus placeres es poder ayudar a los más necesitados. Desde hace algunos años colabora con Kiwanis Club Of Aruba, una organización que desde hace 50 años sirve a la comunidad ayudando a fomentar la educación de los niños con limitaciones físicas y de pocos recursos.
Cada miércoles y los fines de semana también participa en actividades para algunas casas de ancianos. “Siento una satisfacción muy grande al contribuir con causas nobles y poder brindarle mi ayuda a la gente que más lo necesita”.
Asegura que su madre ha sido su inspiración no solo al involucrarse con estas causas sino en el éxito de su carrera. “Creo en mi madre, mi mamá fue mi guía, mi inspiración, quien me inculcó las normas, los valores para estudiar, tener mi carrera, pero siempre manteniendo la humildad y ayudando a los demás”.
Edalitza sueña con formar una familia y seguir siendo ejemplo de emprendimiento para las nuevas generaciones de Aruba.
